The Missing and Murdered, and Money for Minerals and Railroad

Great news for South Dakota as Governor Noem signed three more important bills into law. I was a proud prime sponsor of the $20M railroad rehabilitation appropriation, and cosponsor of both the $19M SD School of Mines and Technology appropriation and to establish the office of liaison for missing and murdered indigenous people.

SB 93 $20M appropriation to rehabilitate the rail line from west of the city of Fort Pierre to the city of Rapid City

SB 156 $19M for the construction of a Mineral Industry Building and the demolition of the old Mineral Industry Building on the campus of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology

HB 1199 An Act to establish the Office of Liaison for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons.
